Show Week Get in's and out's

It is no small task to get in and get out a show from our beloved venue. The get in starts from 9.00am (or earlier) till 6.00pm (well, everything is still being put together up until show night) and the get out, even with many hands making light work, goes from 10.00pm until 2.00am, or later. It's a hefty job. We always need more help with both the get ins and outs but particularly with the get in. The get out is not as worrisome because everyone is there anyway and all get stuck right in but the get in requires purposefully coming in and commiting a certain chunk of the day to the cause. We need more people willing to do this. Those who started the get in for Red Riding Hood found themselves a little short on help in the morning so more people are needed for this shift, please and thankyou.

Parent Helpers

Just a quick note that juniors' parents are expected to help out back stage during at least one show night, Thank you.

The Orchard Players Newsletter January 2020

Hey y'all! Well it's officially the start of a new decade. I sincerely hope you all had magical Christmas and joyous new year.

Time to forget about all that magic for now and get serious. Pantomime 2020 is finally here. If you don't roughly know your stuff now then where have you been for the last four months??

Listen closely now.

Our Greg

We all know Greg. Be it directly as our friend or as the technical wizard behind the sound and lighting for every single Orchard Players show since I can remember...and i'm pretty old. As many of you may or may not know, Greg, a couple of months ago, suffered from a brain aneurysm. After much surgery he is now slowly but surely on the mend. He has recently undergone further surgery due to infection but all still appears to be stable. Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to the wonderful Greg, Linda and their family. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Raffle Prizes

As usual we are holding our famous raffle during show week (next week). I've noticed that Christmas was very recently here. I've also noticed that people tend to receive stuff where they sometimes have to smile nicely and pretend to love (we've all been there). This is the beauty of raffles. If you have nice stuff that you don't reckon you'll need or use then just pass it over to Julie for the raffle. Then that gets rid of it and creates space for more raffle prize fodder.

Prizes to Julie ASAP please and thank you.

SUMMER SHOW 2020

WELL THE INFORMATION YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR IS NOW HERE FOR YOUR EYEBALLS TO FEAST UPON.

We actually now have a director for the next Summer Show! I'm fairly sure you've all met him. His name is Ray Seager! He will be directing a new musical spectacular called Musical of Dreams featuring song and dance from well known musicals and musical artists that you're bound to have heard before! Tied together with a heartwarming story. The dates for this show are the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of July 2020.

Pantomime Week Rota

As usual a rota for panto week will be doing the rounds. Everyone usually helps out with everything and the hall, kitchen and library are usually left in a very acceptable state after we've used it but just make sure you aid the tidy up mission in some way. Many hands make light work.

First Aid

AGAin......If you're a first aider then please could you let Molly know. The red head with the chopper. Otherwise she'll be the one needing the first aid because she'll be banging her head against a brick wall waiting for people to let her know so she can do her blasted job!!!

...........Quiz?????

Do you hear a whisper on the breeze? quiiiiiizzz......quiiiizzzzzz......QUIIIIIIZZZZ.......did you hear that? Rumour has is that there is another quiz a-brewing.....await further instruction. Get a team ready just in case....it won't be long.......

**News literally just in......** we have a date for the quiz!! THE 21ST OF MARCH 2020!! NOW GO GO GO GO GOOOOOO TO THOSE DIARIES!!

Capel Fun day 2020

Another year, another day of fun. Prepare yourselves. it'll be the most fun yet. Early days so all I can really do is inform you of the date which is the 6th of June. Volunteers and raffle prizes for this will be well received. Watch this space.

I've not been authorised officially to inform you of this yet but seeing as you'll all find out anyway eventually, Rapunzel has been nominated for Best Panto 2019 in our region by NODA! yay! massive congratulations to Julie, Lynn and their team for this marvelous achievement.

If you're reading this then thanks for reading. If you skipped to the end then go back and read. If you later claim to be ill-informed of the lastest news and events then there will be a serious enquiry. Maybe I need to type in bigger font?????

The Orchard Players Newsletter December 2019

Orchard Players December Newsletter 2019

WOOHOOOO!!!!! IT'S DECEMBER!!! ONE OF THE BEST MONTHS OF THE YEAR!!! And it's already nearly the middle of the month!! So if you've not started that Christmas shopping yet you'd better get a shoofty on!!! On a scarier note, it means it's that much nearer to pantomime time!!!! in fact it's exactly 1 month until opening night.....oh ****!!!

Anyway, lets discuss this months currents matters at hand to put our minds at ease....

Pantomime 2020!! 😀

All is well!! Director James and assistant director Glyn seem to be very happy!! Everything is as it should be and all is on track and in running order. Just keep rehearsing, learning and polishing! Set and props are looking fabulous too.

Tickets of course are available and selling!! So sell sell SELL and buy buy BUY! We want sell out shows for every performance so get on it!! Also, to entice everybody else, we have lots of lovely posters for you to take and display on every surface you can adhere them to and tell the world about our show!

We are also looking for more raffle prizes! Woop! We love a raffle and raffles love Christmas! So anything nice and pretty that you don't need over the next month the please can you save it for our raffle! Cheers dears!

Summer Show 2020

Now I know I mentioned a deadline for Summer Show proposals by the end of November but we are extending it to.......whenever really!! ASAP!! We are EAGERLY awaiting everybody's proposals and can't wait to hear your ideas...........aaaany time now........

Musical Feelers!!

Quite randomly, do you or anyone you know play an instrument?? Are these people considering getting involved in any stage stuff?? We would be very interested in these talents being included in future shows ON THE STAGE AS AN INSTRUMENT PLAYING ACTOR!! Let us know.

Who can help me if I keel over??

As performers we know that putting on a performance is not without it's risks. Falling off the stage or getting stabbed in the eye with a plastic sword (not my first rodeo) is perfectly feasible. But who do I turn to if my eyeball is hanging out or my bone is visible from the outside?? (Or other less dramatic injuries). I don't actually know!! Please can every first aider declare themselves!! Step forward! we may need your services! Please declare yourselves to our Molly who is in charge health and safety. Newsletter is a first aider. In charge, of course, of papercuts.

PAAARRRRTTTYYYY!!

AN AFTER SHOW PARTY HAS BEEN CONFIRMED!!! WE SHALL GATHER IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON THURSDAY THE 16TH OF JANUARY FOR FUN TIMES (the thursday after show week). Bring a good ol' plate O' food to share amongst your Orchard Player peers!!

Anyway, If i missed anything out then please can you inform the group of it? ta! And I hope hope HOPE you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!!!

The Orchard Players Newsletter October/November 2019

(A Newsletter Of Undetermined Month But Is Here To Further Inform You Of Crucial Orchard Players Shenanigans!!)

Well hello again intrepid readers! You're back for more newsletter action! I have no doubt in my mind that you've been enjoying all sorts of fireworks this month! Those will pale in comparison to the display you're going to see in this newsletter!

Gear yourselves up. This is going to be a long one.

Oh my word!! We need all Summer show proposals to come forward and we need them now!! If you or anyone you know has an AMAZING idea for Summer show 2020 then slap yourselves or them into action because you have until the end of THIS month to show yourselves!!

No pressure.

The Pantomime!!!!

Ok so we're still rehearsing for a pantomime which is (big reveal) Red Riding Hood and we've done so since September. Seriously, where is this time going? Kinda bricking it here to be honest....! ..ahem..not that I have songs or lines to worry about because i'm just a newsletter......but for those of you that DO have lines to worry about, start worrying right about now because those scripts are forbidden in the performing paddock as of the 24th of November.......THIS MONTH!!!!....take a few minutes to process this...then pick up your script and read.

HOLD UP.......most of this newsletter content is linked to the panto so lets stay on the subject a while longer, but not before we enjoy another firework........

ooooohhh!!! aaaaaahhhh!!! No expense spared. You're welcome.

Photography!!

Not just any photography.....this photography will be of the greatest subject you could ever have and that's you!!!! Cast photographs will be taken on the 24th of November.......hold up again.....yep that's the exact same date that scripts are becoming forbidden!! A busy time for all!! You'll need to be fully prepared mentally and physically in your Orchard Players uniforms.

AND SPEAKING OF UNIFORMS.......

This is kind of aimed at the junior cast but also at the adult cast too....aimed at everyone really. Could you remember to wear suitable attire to rehearsal. Juniors, you are doing a lot of movement and dance so could jazz shoes be worn to every rehearsal please? Jazz shoes are your best friend. If you are not yet in possession of best friend jazz shoes then they are available to order OR there are a number of pre-loved pairs to buy in the gear store in a variety of sizes.

All long hair tied back out of your faces! Hair toucing is not often choreographed in the dances so unless it's choreographed or directed keep your hands off your hair while you're performing.

Everyone else just wear stuff that is practical and comfy!

Everybody's favourite get-in...

So you know how cool it is when you finish up the LAST Thursday rehearsal before show week and then you arrive at the Sunday rehearsal in the evening to find the hall completely transformed into panto wonderland? Well there are literally HOURS of work put into getting it looking show lush!! Some folk literally start from 9.00AM and don't leave until the end of the rehearsal. LATE. Now no-one is asking you for a 13 hour day HOWEVER if you could spare yourselves at some point during the day on the Sunday before show week to aid the get-in effort then that would be perfect!!

OOoohh!! Christmas AND fireworks!!

Parent helpers

To all parents of the junior cast, if you could make yourselves available for at least one of the shows, (Wednesday the 8th, (final dress rehearsal), Thursday the 9th, Friday the 10th, Saturday the 11th matinee or evening), to supervise and help with the juniors backstage then this would be most helpful. Actually, any point between Sunday the 5th and the following Saturday would be much appreciated. Show week is hectic!!!!!

Why Settle for word of mouth??...

When you can advertise???? Come on flippin' down, bring your business adverts, bring your friend's business adverts and advertise in our sell-out show programmes!!! £40 for a full A5 page (that's a big advert) and £20 for a half page (also a big advert)!!! Big adverts for cheap??? That, ladies and gentlemen, is a no-brainer!!!!!!

.....and lastly...(I think)

I just keep think about that quiz. I can't get enough. A huge thank you again to our creatives and Quiz Master Chris and Emma Cranwell and of course to Hazel for organising everything else from raffle to food to teams to runners!! What a successful event!

Not forgetting of course an absolutely mahooosive thank you to those glorious individuals who donated so many awesome raffle prizes!!! The more donations you make then the greater the financial saving for the group so thank you a million times!!!

Now go save up some more raffle prizes ready for the panto!! Yep, keep 'em coming!! We always need prizes!! If you get that gift that you like but don't really need or you buy something and think WHY DID I DO IT??? Then please think of us and our many raffles!! We will gratefully accept!! Within reason.

You know I often read these newsletters and wonder why they're so long......it's because of all the

It's a good job you all like waffle.

The Orchard Players Newsletter September 2019

Now listen very closely. As usual I have some seriously important things to tell you and it simply can't wait so drop what you're doing and read me....

DVD Collection

Right so you've paid for your Summer Show DVDs but some of you don't seem to want them???? Thanks for your £15 donations but we really want you to have your DVD!! If you remember parting with DVD money but don't seem to be in possession of the merchandise then....errr....could you please get your DVD?? I hear it's very good! Please conflab with Hazel to arrange a collection.

Where can we put all our stuff??

We would like to borrow you, as a group, to be our proverbial feelers!! Committee are on the lookout for rentable storage space for our extensive collection of costumes and props!! If you have any ideas then please don't keep it to yourself!!

Pretty much it for the time being.

Please say if i've left anything out and let the rest of the group know, ta!!!

The Orchard Players Newsletter July 2019

A fond “good morrow” to you fine Orchard Players! First and foremost a sincere apology for the sheer lateness of this Newsletter. This would usually have found you a few weeks ago and in all honesty…… *psssst* (looks around to make sure no-one is listening) at one point I’d convinced myself in my head that i’d already sent it….but NEVERMIND. With the chaos and excitement of show week heavy in the air (bravo everyone, by the way) I doubt anyone even noticed!!! Anyway here is a newsletter of unspecified month and you will probably get another one of specified month later this month too. You lucky devils.

So lets crack on. Please read the below and remember what it says. Or just re-read it.

After Show Party

By now you will have probably been made aware, by word of mouth, invitation and good old fashioned Orchard Players tradition, that we are having an after show party ThIs WeEk!!!! This means we can help ourselves get over our after-show downer and meet up with the people we simply can’t get enough of. So just as a reminder in case you forgot, it’s at 7.30pm, on Thursday the 11th of July, that’s THIS THURSDAY, at our beloved village hall. Please bring something that tastes nice on a plate, in a tin or in a packet to share.

Pantomime 2020

So another heads up about our next “hootenanny“. We will be staging “Red Riding Hood”!! Which we haven’t staged since 1995!! What a treat! It’ll be an utter humdinger! It will be on stage the 9th, 10th and 11th of January.

THE READ THROUGH IS ON THURSDAY THE 18TH OF JULY (THAT’S NEXT THURSDAY)

AUDITION PREP SESSION WILL BE THURSDAY THE 25TH OF JULY (THAT’S THE THURSDAY AFTER)

AUDITIONS WILL BE SUNDAY THE 28TH OF JULY.

So all the dates are here for you in black and white. No need for any queries, quibbles or worries #readthisnewsletter

Additional (long) Request

Please read this and understand that it is extremely rare and surprising that we ever have a rehearsal where we have 100% attendance (other than show week, duh!!). You all have lives, we get that. Committee has a life too but it was noticed that there were a fair number of absences on a number of rehearsals that were not on the “list of absences”. This list is compiled right at the start of a rehearsal period so cast members can inform the director/s of any upcoming events or holidays or other stuff that you may have prearranged and result in you being absent from rehearsal. This way, if necessary, the rehearsal content can be planned accordingly. We all encounter unforeseen circumstances. Committee are not implying they have never encountered an unforeseen circumstance BUT some folk have not shown and not informed anyone in advance or at all. It’s a frigging nightmare to stage a scene, dance or song with people missing and causes unnecessary stress for everyone else. All we ask is that everyone thinks about how much they can commit to before they……..well, commit!! An Orchard Players panto is not just for Christmas, it’s your life from September to January…and from March to July if you are doing Summer Show. Personally I don’t have much of a life outside Orchard Players but if you’re one of these people that has a life then just have a think and If you know there will a number of rehearsals that you can’t make then please let the show organisers know, have a chat about it and see what can be sorted.

A Re-scheduled Capel Fun Day

Same event, just a different date. Simple as that. The new date is Saturday the 20th of July. 1pm-5pm. Capel St Mary playing field, Playfield Road (funnily enough). We do intend on keeping our performance slot, which will be 2.45pm. Team Fun have been in contact to brief you on these amendments so please continue to let them know if you are able to attend or not! Do it!!

……..AND CARRYING ON THE TIMELINE

THE LOVELY DANI HAS VERY KINDLY OFFERED TO HOST OUR ANNUAL SUMMER SOCIAL (IN THE FORM OF A BBQ) AT HER HOUSE IN CAPEL!!!!! THANK YOU MUCHLY DANI!! It will commence on the 21st of July (the day after the above event, what a jam packed weekend full of social goodness!) at 1.00pm till…….whenever!!! Until Dani chucks us out! PLEASE provide Dani with £2 per person to cover the cost of the meaty goodness and plate of tasty yum (sweet or savoury) to share with the rest of your besties.

The Quiz!!

All the details remain the same but i’m going to plug this each time!

WHERE?: CAPEL COMMUNITY CENTRE (VILLAGE HALL)

WHEN?: THE 12TH OF OCTOBER 2019

TIME???: 7.30PM PLEASE!!

HOW MUCH?: £10 PER PERSON

WHAT DO I GET FOR MY MONEY?: A LOVINGLY COMPILED QUIZ, CHICKEN AND CHIPS (OR OBLIGATORY VEGGIE OPTION) AND A DAMN GOOD EVENING OF LAUGHS AND HEALTHY COMPETITION.

WHAT ELSE?: WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT?? TEAMS OF 6!! NO MORE, MMMMKAY?!!

What do we do about the money???

…….Finally it is with a heavy heart that I have to announce that our beloved Sue will be retiring from her role as treasurer on the committee after an amazing 20 years!! Thank you so much Sue! We are looking for someone within the group who may be interested in filling her shoes in the treasurer role……have a think and we look forward to the mass rush.

The Orchard Players Newsletter May 2019

Wow!!!
It’s the month of May!!! Soon to be the month of June!! Isn’t this year simply flying by?! A newsletter comes out then it seems like 3 or 4 weeks pass and ANOTHER newsletter is due to come out!! Strange! Anyway there’s a lot to get through so listen the heck up!!
MEMBERSHIP
So yeah, I heard the distressing news that there are still a few memberships due to come in......*SIGH*!!!!!!!! How many times does newsletter have to remind you guys about membership payment??? Pay it, pay it, pay it, pay it, pay it, pay it, pay it, pay it, pay it, pay it, PAY IT!!! Once it’s paid it’s paid because i’m getting tired of putting this in the darned newsletter!!!!!!!!!
Thanks to those who have paid it.
Pay it
Summer Show Stuff
Everything is still going well. We’re nearly through all the numbers so the month of June will be mostly polish and tying up loose ends. We literally have no time left before this show!!....you know what I mean. It will feel like there’s no time left!! So lets get those remaining songs learnt, dialogue perfected and dances tip top! Summer Social???????
The Orchard Players has a bit of a reputation for being social. The group is renowned for frequenting a Summer event where we all gather together, preferably on a sunny day, and have a lovely time chatting, eating and drinking. These events are usually in the form of a bbq but we’re happy to entertain other options.
The only issue is we need a venue!!! Is there ANYONE out there who would be happy to host a Summer social event at their abode??? Please get in contact with committee if you think you can help and a date can be arranged to your convenience!!!!

The Orchard Players Newsletter April 2019

The Orchard Players Newsletter April 2019

The Orchard Players Newsletter April 2019

Well bother me!!!! It’s already April!! As I sit and write this I have chocolate around my mouth and deep regret in my soul…..yes that’s right…It’s EASTER!!!! So here’s the latest from Orchard Players’ HQ!! (Much of it is the same but please re-read so you don’t forget the crucial bits. This reduces the credibility of the “I didn’t know” or “I forgot about it” excuses.)

Anyway……

Annual General Meeting

As previously mentioned in ALL THE OTHER NEWSLETTERS our annual general meeting is being held in the village hall on Thursday the 25th of April at 7.30pm. Now i don’t want to be the group b**** (no juniors here? no? good!!) but this meeting is at a time and place when everyone would usually be at a rehearsal anyway SO unless you’re previously booked off on the “absent from rehearsal” sheet then there isn’t a reason why you cannot be present. I promise you it’s not boring!! You know you want to know what the committee gets up to at those meetings and the answers will all become clear to you!! There’s a reason why the meetings are held in the bar!!

On a related note, if there is anyone who has a burning desire to join the committee then speak now or forever hold your peace….until next time…

Capel Fun Day!!

Team Fun have been working tirelessly every single year…for the last year to bringFUN FUN FUN to both Capel and Bentley fun days!! Our aim is to raise funds and awareness to the group for current and upcoming shows!! However much Team Fun LOVESsupervising the stall for the entire day it would be amazing if anyone could spare an hour or two of their precious time to help “man” the stall and coax a couple of quid out of the good public!!

Prizes!!! ANY DONATIONS FOR PRIZES FOR OUR STALL WOULD BE GRATEFULLY RECEIVED!! THESE CAN BE ALCOHOLIC OR NOT!!

NOT TO MAKE YOU UNCOMFORTABLE OR ANYTHING BUT A MEMBER OF TEAM FUN WILL BE APPROACHING YOU SOON TO ENQUIRE ABOUT YOUR AVAILABILITY….AND THEY HAVE WAYS OF MAKING YOU TALK. SO START THINKING ABOUT YOUR EXCUSES NOW!!!!

Summer Show 2019

The current Summer show, “An American In Suffolk” is simmering nicely!! The juniors are continuing to impress with their dedication to learning their material (knowing their own lines and each others’)!! We’ve not known anything like it!! Good work!! The adult cast too are well under way with learning their material!……..Good work!!.

PROPS

Due to the nature of this show you can imagine that it is going to very…..”Proppy” and “furniturey“. Meaning we will require a number of props and furniture faithful in appearance to the 1940s era. Our good director, Cheryll, has compiled a props list for everybody’s perusal. Hard copies will be available from her at rehearsals. Have a butchers and see what you think.

Programme

Do you or anyone you know have a small or large business? Would you or them be interested ineffective and reasonably priced advertising??? Well search no more!! The Orchard Players can provide all these things to you and more!! For an advert in our programme you get:

Value: £40 for a full page advert of your choice and design or £20 for a half page.

Guaranteed views: Your advert would be seen by potentially hundreds of audience members as they peruse our beautifully designed programme.

It’s a no-brainer!! Please approach a member of committee if you are interested in this opportunity!

Additional included Paperwork

Saving the best notice till last! The included attachments with this newsletter are to arm you and mentally prepare you for the upcoming AGM. The new new NEW constitution (newer than the new constitution you were sent with the last newsletter. New in the sense that the newness of the last one was the newest available to us but it didn’t include the newness of the newer constitution as the newness of the newest one was too new to include in what is now the old one).

There will also be an AGM agenda AND the minutes of the previous AGM. It must be stressed that the minutes you have been sent are not agreed minutes. They will be agreed minutes once we are all sitting together at the AGM and all say “I agree” in unison.

You may also receive more paperwork but that’s a surprise. (This is me covering myself in case i’ve forgotten to mention something else I may have to send you).

Any queries???? Ask someone else.

Much love to all, my beauties.

The Orchard Players Newsletter March 2019

Orchard Players Newsletter March 2019

Hello and welcome back to another complete guide to everything Orchard Players!! Ever wonder exactly what goes on in those committee meetings??......No?...Well just IN CASE you wondered, the answers are all in these newsletters!! So it's already March and there is plenty to report so listen closely. I shall literally say this only once!!

Summer Show 2019

Once again a massive THANK YOU to everybody who has showed an interest and supported this project. Newsletter understands that the audition panel had a very tough job casting the show (they always do). It's very early days into rehearsals but so far the time has been used productively with blocking already being looked at and lines being learned..............................................................................................so anyway yeah, keep up the good work.

Annual General Meeting!!

As previously mentioned there is an AGM approaching! Can you feel it? Can you sense it? Are you getting those meeting vibes? Good! You are prepared! The AGM is on the 25th of April and is a friendly meeting for the ENTIRE group so that EVERYONE can get together and express their feelings about what they are experiencing and hearing. It's so nice when EVERYONE is in the same room and can show a mtual interest in the goings on of their favourite group. It's not a compulsory meeting but everyone will be called that evening and it would be lovely to see as many people show an interest as possible.

Membership

So! I'll keep this simple....it's a simple enough subject.... you may have noticed that In this group we pay the membership. Membership money goes towards various show expenses. Paying the membership is a delicate subject becauseit involves money....your money...MY MONEY!! hmmmmmmmmmm......anyway, membership paperwork will be circulating very soon. The sooner the membership is paid the sooner you can forget about it. Please pay membership BEFORE you forget about it. Committee prefers it that way around. Anyway just pay it. Any questions or queries about membership, don't worry!! Molly G is on hand to troubleshoot your worries.

Quiz Night

Newsletter knows how much you all love a quiz night. It's been a tough job trying to pinpoint the perfect quiz night date BUT hard persistence from committee has concluded that an OCTOBER QUIZ NIGHT IS ON THE CARDS!!! We currently have the 12th of October penciled in SO start thinking about your teams NOW!! No harm in being prepared!! More info about this event to follow in coming months so don't stop reading!!

Fun Day

The annual day of Capel St Mary fun (although folk in Capel are a riot 24/7) is on Saturday the 8th of June 2019. Committee has an official Fun Team in place organising the group's stand at the fun day BUT....Team Fun would very much appreciate help from as many people as possible on the day to supervise, advertise and encourage the public to spend spend SPEND!! We may also be doing a special performance on the day so as many people for this would be beneficial. Don't be forcing any of us to do any solos!!!!!!

SPEAKING OF MAKING MONEY, IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO RAISE EXTRA FUNDS FOR THE GROUP (THAT ISN'T FUN DAY OR QUIZ, YOU FUNNY LOT) THEN COMMITTEE WOULD BE DEEEELIGHTED TO HEAR YOUR IDEAS.

Website

Ok SO the Orchard Players has always had an internet presence BUT we've never really been associated with heavy website activity!! Well, people, that's all about to change because the Orchard Players website is very nearly in it's completion! A few tweaks and additions to go and we'll be hot to trot!! The site, however, is officially LIVE so don't forget to check it out!!! The address is www.theorchardplayers.com OR you could just type the name of the group into Google....that always tends to do the job.

Panto 2020

This is the final opportunity to put your pantomime proposals forward for next year. Committee would like a proposal from every group member by the end of the month.........nah, just kidding of course! But if you do have the desire to put forward a proposal for the next pantomime then you have until the end of this month. Not long. Spit spot.

LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST......

A MASSIVE "THANK YOU" AND "CONGRATULATIONS" TO A ONE SUE MAPLESTONE!!!! ....SUE HAS TIRELESSLY SERVED THE ORCHARD PLAYERS COMMITTEE AS TREASURER FOR...WAIT FOR IT.....20 YEARS!!! YOU READ CORRECTLY, 20 YEARS!! AMAZING!! SO A HUGE HUGE THANK YOU, SUE!! THE WORK YOU DO IS VERYMUCH APPRECIATED!! <3 <3 <3

Documentation

Attached to Newsletter will be a few documents for your perusal. Our policies. Anti-bullying and Health and Safety. These will be touched upon at the AGM but peruse beforehand, please. ALSO THE COMMITTEE NOMINATION FORM WILL BE CIRCULATED. IF YOU HAVE THE DESIRE TO BE ON THE COMMITTEE THEN PRINT ONE OFF AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE FORM!!!!!

So I think that's everything for now. If you've skipped straight to the end here then please read the above!!

LOVE TO YOU ALL
